How long can I cancel a room reservation without charge?
Ordinarily you can cancel a reservation without charge up to 6 pm. on arrival date. Cancellation terms may vary during conventions or other major events. You can read the exact cancellation terms on your booking confirmation.
How early can I check in?
Your room is ready from 2:00 p.m. on.
How late can I check in?
Our reception clerks are on duty until 11:00 p.m. every day. Please let us know if you will be arriving after 10:30 p.m.
Can I leave my luggage at the hotel before checking in or after checking out?
Yes, you can leave your luggage at the reception desk before or after your stay free of charge.
How late can I check out?
Guests must ordinarily check out by 10:00 a.m. For later check-out times for an extra charge of € 10.00 per hour, please consult with the reception desk.
Is parking available?
Our hotel has free parking. No special reservation is necessary.
What is the nearest underground or S-Bahn station?
The Akademie Hotel is near Pankow station (S+U Pankow), which is served by U-Bahn and S-Bahn lines. The bus stop Heinrich-Mann-Platz, on bus line 155, is right in front of the hotel. The bus and tram stop Bürgerpark Pankow, on bus lines 107 and 250 and tram line M1, is just 100 m from the hotel. All of these bus and tram lines go to S+U Pankow.
Do I need to order breakfast with my reservation?
No. You can decide on arrival whether you would like the buffet breakfast. Breakfast costs € 9.00 per person per day, and is served in buffet style from 7:00 to10:00 a.m. in the restaurant Heide-Küche adjoining the hotel.
Can I order lunch or dinner?
Yes, of course. Lunch and dinner are served in our partner restaurant, the Heide-Küche. Please give us a firm reservation in advance.
Are pets welcome?
Yes, you are welcome to bring your pet along. We will charge a supplementary cleaning fee of € 10.00 per day.
When must I pay?
Payment is due on your departure.
How can I pay at the hotel?
We accept VISA, Eurocard, American Express, Diners' Club and EC (Maestro) cards. Cash payment is also accepted.
Can you bill my employer?
Yes. Please have your employer send us written confirmation that they will cover the expense by e-mail or fax. The written confirmation should name the exact expenses that will be covered (accommodations, breakfast, etc.).
Do you have smoking rooms?
No, the Akademie Hotel Berlin has no rooms for smokers.
Is there wi-fi Internet access?
Yes, we offer our guests free wi-fi in the rooms and all public areas.
Do you sell tickets for public transport?
No, but you can buy tickets for the whole Berlin transport network in the first bus or tram you board.
Is there a hairdryer in the room?
Yes, all our rooms are equipped with a hairdryer.
How can I change or cancel my reservation?
If you booked your room through a third party, such as HRS, Expedia or Booking.com, please refer to the contact information on your booking confirmation. If you booked through our hotel website, you can change or cancel your reservation online or by phone or e-mail.

Yes, we offer corporate discounts for companies and business travellers.
